What the Contradiction Finder does

When a witness statement contains inconsistencies — a date that changes between documents, an account that contradicts itself, a claim that clashes with what the person said elsewhere — those contradictions matter in court. But finding them manually across dozens of pages is time-consuming and easy to miss.

MyCaseOrganiser's Contradiction Finder reads the full document and surfaces every self-contradiction, date conflict, and factual inconsistency — with the exact quotes, page references, and an explanation of why each one is significant.

The output is a list of candidates for human review — not a list of proven lies. Use the findings to guide your own cross-examination preparation or to flag issues in your witness statement. A human always decides what to put before the court.

How it works

1

Upload the document

Witness statement, position statement, CAFCASS report — any format.

2

AI reads the full text

Every paragraph is analysed for internal consistency and cross-referenced.

3

Contradictions surfaced

Each finding shows the conflicting quotes, their location, and why the inconsistency matters.

4

You review and decide

Each finding is a candidate — you decide which to raise and how.

What types of contradictions it finds

How to use the findings in court

Each contradiction the tool surfaces is a candidate to raise — either in your witness statement (where you can directly address a discrepancy in the other party's account) or in cross-examination questions prepared with your McKenzie Friend.

Present contradictions using the exact quotes and page references the tool provides. "At paragraph 4 you stated X. At paragraph 17 you stated Y. Which account is correct?" is a concrete, unanswerable question. Vague challenges are not.
